Places of excursions:
Bamfield can be reached by boat within approximately 20 min..
The "West Coast Trail" starts there, a wonderful
hiking trail along the west coast of Vancouver Island.
A short walk (about 10 min.) away from Bamfield is Brady's Beach,
a typical "West Coast" beach. It is amazing to see how
the old trees have been been shaped by storms over the years.
Bamfield is also a good place to start your Whale Watching tour,
maybe combined with a tour through the Broken Group Islands.
From Ucluelet Tofino and Long Beach
can be reached by bus. It is more expensive, but faster
and more exciting to get there by float plane. It
picks you up directly at the dock of the Kildonan
Lodge. In addition there is a wonderful tour
offered twice a day to the hot springs close to Tofino.
Our sail boat is also available for trips to discover wild life
and the area.
